Nov 01, 2012 · Tester is designed for Ethelyn-glycol based antifreeze, not alcohol based. Actually some RV antifreeze such as Prestone is propolene glycol based (no alcohol). Some of the lower priced ones have a mix of propolene glycol and alcohol. Some people have expressed concerns about alcohol in the antifreeze causing future problems drying rubber seals.
