The VEX IQ Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, provides elementary and middle school students with exciting, open-ended robotics challenges that enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on, student-centered learning.
What is VEX Robotics?VEX Robotics hosts the world’s largest robotics competition for students all over the world to compete against one another using a robot of their own design. In the VEX IQ Competition, classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more.
What is vexcode?VEXcode is a coding environment with an intuitive layout that meets students at their coding level. VEXcode is consistent across Blocks and Text, across VEX IQ and VEX V5, allowing them to focus on creating with technology, rather than navigating a new layout as they progress.
What is the IQ hero bot for the IQ Challenge?Each year, the IQ Hero Bot is designed from the IQ Super Kit to provide teams with a starting point to play the current VEX IQ Challenge game. It is intended for experienced teams to be able to quickly assemble a robot to investigate the game's dynamics.
