What is the difference between salsa verde and salsa roja?
Salsa verde uses green bell peppers while salsa roja uses red bell peppers. To make salsa verde, or green sauce, combine cooked tomatillos, jalapeos, white onions, cilantro, and lime to taste. Salsa roja, or red sauce, is prepared with tomatoes, chili peppers, onion, garlic, and fresh cilantro and is often served as a condiment.
