A Chief Petty Officer is a senior noncommissioned officer in the United States Navy at DoD paygrade E-7. A Chief Petty Officer receives a monthly basic pay salary starting at $3,114 per month, with raises up to $5,597 per month once they have served for over 26 years. In addition to basic pay, Chief Petty Officers may receive additional pay allowances for housing and food, as well as special incentive pay for hostile fire and dangerous duties.
