Carley Use the [Vol -] button to scroll to "Reboot system now”, then use the [POWER] button to make the selection. The tablet will power down then back on and the Packard Bell logo will show. The tablet will take a few minutes to reload the original factory settings. Take a metal pin (such as the end of a paper clip) and gently push the recessed reset button on the side of the tablet. The tablet will shut down. Press the power button to start the tablet. With tablet off, press and hold the power and volume up buttons simultaneously. Hold for 10-15 seconds, this should enter into boot menu. Then you will find an option to, Reset Factory default settings/reset user data. Select this option. Device should now reset and clear password. May take a few minutes. Click Start, All Programs, Packard Bell, then click Packard Bell Recovery Management. Packard Bell Recovery Management opens. Click the Restore tab, then click Restore system to factory default. The Confirm Restoration dialogue box opens. Click Yes, then click Start. Follow the on-screen prompts for first-time system setup. Make sure that the phone is actually powered off. Remove your SD card, if there is one in the device. Press the "Power" and the "Volume Up" buttons, together, until you see the start-up logo on the screen.
