WEBAug 29, 2023 · To use substitution with definite integrals, follow the same procedure as with indefinite integrals but add one extra step: replace the limits of integration \(x=a\) and \(x=b\) in the original integral \(\int_a^b f(x)\,\dx\) by \(u = g(a)\) and \(u= g(b)\), respectively, in the new integral involving \(u\), where \(u=g(x)\) is your substitution.
